D-DAY!
D-Day... One of the most horrific wars in history. One of the bloodiest. In the island of Normandy... Allies vs. Axis. Just like the Battle Of Stalingrad, this war was also a turning point for the allies. The allies on the american side while attacking feared drowning in the stone cold water, more than getting shot by catapults on the beach. Also when their team captain died they were asked to move on, it was really hard for them since their captain was like their father. He had trained them from the very beginning. D-Day is a military term for when an operation is to be launched. This took place on the coast of Omaha Beach. This was also known as Operation Overlord, or the Battle Of Normandy. This was a very dangerous mission and the allies knew it. Yet they still did it. Soldiers who survived D-Day want to lock away the memories and forget about 'that' day. It was one of the bloodiest wars in history, especially for the allies. All over the beach there were bodies. Dead. The D-Day anniversary is like a dreadful reminder to most. To any survivor of D-Day reading this. Thank You for protecting this country.
